In the senior art show, I had the opportunity to look at Morgan Taylor's photographs. She had used subjects in various locations. She used subjects such as a subway station, muffin, beets, and bamboo sticks The visual qualities that were consistent throughout Taylor's images were the soft black/white tones that still displayed a little color. It gave the images a smooth antique but modern style to it. Taylor's use of wood boards as the frame was also unique.
Twelfth Street made the most impact to me. It was simple but stood out. It was my favorite because of its simplicity of the brick wall and the barber pole.
The images inspired me to realize that you can make a normal, unappealing object stand out.
