photography sessions

Lynchburg, Virginia Photographer | Morgan

So while I'm continuing on with a personal project of mine, Morgan and I walked around downtown.  Morgan is awesome.  She was my roommate last year and we are still friends.  She has definitely challenged me over the last few years and I am glad to have the opportunity to have grown closer to her outside of being on a hall.

To talk a little more about this shoot, it was actually very interesting.  Between trying to find great sunlight (which I'm starting to get obsessed with by the way) and not being asked questions from random people throughout the town.  ;) It was a great experience and I'm glad that I was able to have this one done.

Anyways, I'll stop talking.  Here are a few of my favorites!

Lynchburg Virginia Photographer | Jackey

Okay, I'm really happy to post this blog today!

First, before I show you the images from my session with Jackey, I have to route and talk about how much I LOVE this location.  It's definitely my secret for now (until it comes out later), but I really wanted to just talk about how much I loved it and give a little back story to how I came across it.

I was having one of my first accountabilities with my Resident Director earlier this semester and we drove past it.  I mentioned it to her and she said that she saw it before and wanted to point it out to me.  I came back a few weeks later to scout it out and felt that I really needed to do a session there.  I fell in love.

So a little about Jackey. She's awesome.  She's one of the Freshmen on my hall this year at the Annex.  I saw her a few times post pictures of herself via computer camera on her Facebook.  She would have these mini photoshoots periodically and I figured she'd love to help me out.  So we picked a day that we both were free and finally got a chance to do a session!

Well, enough talking.  Here's some of my favorites from the day!

Caleb-Senior Session Part One

I'm pretty stoked about posting this blog! First of all, it's my first full session with my new camera and lens.  It's pretty exciting because while I'm getting used to the differences, I find myself in absolute AWE.  I'll be honest, I felt buyers remorse for just a little bit until I did this session! ;)

Anyways, my brother is graduating from high school next year!  It's weird because we had a bit of a gap in between graduations for a while, but now that I've graduated from college, we'll be doing 3-4 straight graduations in my family either from high school or college.

We decided that we are going to have three parts for my brother's senior pictures: Casual, Formal, and Cap & Gown.  We were going to do the Casual and Formal for this session, but Caleb completely missed that memo ha ha.

I must say, my brother is quite the character.  I believe me and all of my siblings have different looks, but Caleb literally pulled over 3 different looks in an hour!  It was great!

We went to Brown's Island and close to the Canal to take these images.  It was probably the best location that I've shot at thus far! So many amazing places to be utilized that I can't even contain!

Well, I'll stop talking and share these images!

Because I Got Behind

Let's be honest,

I have been doing a horrible job with keeping up with this blog.  The past several weeks have been crazy! So many sessions on top of school and being a Resident Assistant that I just edited them all and didn't even take the time to post them here!

I believe that I have roughly 5-6 sessions to get posted within the next week or so, bare with me! They're coming!

I did get a slight victory by posting the Fashion Show blog yesterday.  I felt really accomplished about that one ;)

But in the meantime, I am very excited to get them to you all soon!
