Lynchburg, Virginia Photographer | Morgan

So while I'm continuing on with a personal project of mine, Morgan and I walked around downtown.  Morgan is awesome.  She was my roommate last year and we are still friends.  She has definitely challenged me over the last few years and I am glad to have the opportunity to have grown closer to her outside of being on a hall.

To talk a little more about this shoot, it was actually very interesting.  Between trying to find great sunlight (which I'm starting to get obsessed with by the way) and not being asked questions from random people throughout the town.  ;) It was a great experience and I'm glad that I was able to have this one done.

Anyways, I'll stop talking.  Here are a few of my favorites!

Lynchburg, Virginia Photographer | Anna

Ah Anna. She's great.  She was on my hall last year and the first time I met her, I just knew the year was going to be a great one.  She brings joy to anyone she meets.  She's straight forward.  She doesn't sugar coat things.

However, one of my favorite things about her is how protective she is to the people she cares about, but is also protective of people that she probably just met. Even if it was for a moment.  Regardless of what they may have done or didn't do for her.  She's genuine.  I'm always excited to see how the lives of the girls I have lived with over the years will turn out, but Anna's is probably one that I am most excited of.  Well, anyways, we went downtown and got a few amazing shots! What I am excited about is how I am doing better with utilizing the sun.  It takes practice to making sure everything is properly exposed, minimal shadow, but also letting the light hit just right as a beam on the head.  ;)  I'm starting to get it now.  Plus, Anna is gorgeous!

Enough of me ranting.  Here are some of my favorites from our shoot!

Lynchburg, Virginia Photographer | Bethany & Tracy

I'm working on a personal project.  While I won't share the details of the project other than making the statement that I'm working on one, I wanted to take the time to share a post about my session with Bethany and Tracy!

First, I do want to share a bit about this location.  I took a different route back to my dorm one day and passed by this beautiful property.  I wasn't sure if it had been abandoned or not, so I did a little research, called the owner to get permission to shoot on the property and the rest was history.  I absolutely fell in love with it.  There was so much to do there.

Shooting in the winter, especially in Lynchburg, takes a lot of dedication. It rained early in the morning leading up to the early afternoon then out of nowhere the sun came out.  So other than having to deal with the mud, we were able to enjoy the beautiful sun (and the obnoxious wind).  Bethany was on my hall last year and her friend, Tracy joined us!  We walked around a bit as I took turns shooting them both.  It was fun and they are both very photogenic! I'm glad that I have girls willing to come out to model for me ;)

Anyways, here are some of my favorites from our shoot!

Sneak Peek | Anna

Check out a Sneak Peek of my session with Anna!

Caleb-Senior Session Part One

I'm pretty stoked about posting this blog! First of all, it's my first full session with my new camera and lens.  It's pretty exciting because while I'm getting used to the differences, I find myself in absolute AWE.  I'll be honest, I felt buyers remorse for just a little bit until I did this session! ;)

Anyways, my brother is graduating from high school next year!  It's weird because we had a bit of a gap in between graduations for a while, but now that I've graduated from college, we'll be doing 3-4 straight graduations in my family either from high school or college.

We decided that we are going to have three parts for my brother's senior pictures: Casual, Formal, and Cap & Gown.  We were going to do the Casual and Formal for this session, but Caleb completely missed that memo ha ha.

I must say, my brother is quite the character.  I believe me and all of my siblings have different looks, but Caleb literally pulled over 3 different looks in an hour!  It was great!

We went to Brown's Island and close to the Canal to take these images.  It was probably the best location that I've shot at thus far! So many amazing places to be utilized that I can't even contain!

Well, I'll stop talking and share these images!
