What is your style?

While I am biased to the photojournalistic style, I do exemplify a variety of techniques considering the moments that they’ll fit best.  I just feel as though pictures are so much more memorable when they are taken in the subject’s natural moments. However, I do utilize poses as well.

I want to schedule you for a session! How do I start?

To begin the process, fill out the contact form with what you’re looking for specifically.  I will make sure to contact you as soon as possible.  Then we can schedule at time for us to meet and discuss additional details.

Do you require a contract?

Yes I do.  In order to ensure that we both are on the same page, I require a contract and model release to be signed at the time of your deposit. 

What is required to book a session?

There is a $300, non refundable deposit along with a contract to secure the date for weddings.  The remaining balance is due two weeks prior to the wedding date.  A $50 deposit is required for portrait sessions and the remaining balance is due a week prior.

How far in advance should we book you?

For weddings, I require to be booked at least six weeks in advance.  For portraits, I ask that you schedule a session at least three weeks in advance.

Is there anything that you would expect for engagement or portrait sessions?

In general, I would highly suggest that you wear something that makes you look and feel your best!  I also would highly stress the importance of being there 15 minutes prior to your session time.  Lighting is important so the time that we have ensures that the best lighting is to be utilized.

Additionally, I would encourage you to bring fun facts and stories to share about yourselves! I would love to get to know you and allow the session to be one of the best moments of your lives.

Where will we shoot?

I like shooting at a lot of different places! I always have a few go-to locations ready just in case you don’t have a preference. However, I’m always open to where you feel would be best for you.

How long will the session take?

It depends on the package that you request.  I typically allot 90 minutes for a portrait session and 2-3 hours for engagement sessions.

Do you travel?

Yes, I do! However I do require reimbursement for travel and lodging accommodations. 

Do I get a disc of all the high-res edited photos?

Absolutely! As part of your wedding package, you will receive a disc of all the high and low resolution, edited images.

How many images should I expect to have?

It totally depends on your package.  For portraits you should expect a minimum of 50 images.  A minimum of 400 images should be expected on your wedding day.

How long would it take for me to get my images?

I will post a sneak peek of your session and/or wedding within the week.   A portrait session should be able to expect their images in two weeks.  Weddings should take 4-6 weeks.  I do seek to have them done far sooner.

What is PASS?

PASS is a shoot and share online gallery.  This is where I will initially upload your images so that you can easily share them with your family and friends.  There are also printing options up to 8x12 available for you to use.

What happens if the weather is bad?

If the weather is bad, then I will definitely work to make sure that we can reschedule at a reasonable time.

What happens if you get sick?

I want to give you a boost of confidence that I only get sick once every 4-5 years.  However in the event that I do get sick, I am never sick to the point where I can’t do a session or wedding.  I’ll just make sure that I won’t touch anything other than my camera and will bring in an assistant to do so if need be.

Will you take a shot list?

I will take shot lists on a case-by-case basis.  While I personally have seen images on things like Pinterest that I would really love to replicate, I have to understand that sometimes things like that can block my creative vision.  I want you to trust that I can take images that you will love!

Do you shoot in color or black and white?

While I am biased to black and white, I shoot all of my images in color. However, there are a lot of times where I would shoot images with the sole intention to convert them in post-production to black and white. If you have a specific preference for more color images or more black and white images, let me know at the time you sign your contract!

What time of day do you shoot?

Sessions are scheduled about 2 or 3 hours before sunset.  This varies based on the season.

Do you require for us to have an unplugged wedding?

In the time where social media outlets such as Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram are dominant, it is very hard to simply put a restriction on whether I would refuse covering a wedding because it isn’t unplugged.  While I know that seeing cell phones in images can be distracting, I will leave that preference to you.  The only thing I would require is that your guests understand that you are paying me to capture your day and for them to take into consideration that they may possibly be blocking my camera’s view.  I also require that your guests do not take pictures during formals. This will ensure that we can get through everything as quickly as possible without eyes wavering.
